Enduring Family Business
Thank you for all of your support
I happened to check our Google Maps listing the other day (something we small business owners do a lot), and I noticed the short description that was chosen for our business. Of course, we don’t have any control over this description, and I don’t know how it is generated. Maybe some sophisticated algorithm cooks it up, or maybe Google asks trusted locals to write them. But, for some reason, the words made be pause: “Enduring family-owned store…”.
If you’ve ever been involved in a small business, you know that it’s not easy. Demands are made on your time, energy, and skills on a daily basis that stretch you to the limit. Competitors are many, communication is constantly evolving, and compliance is never ending.
Now, please don’t get me wrong. We love what we do, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. But, as I read this description of our business, I reflected on the challenges that we face ever day. And, we have endured. We have endured lockdowns, recessions, booms, and busts, and everything in between. Arden Jewelers has endured for over 30 years now, and that is all because of you.
Our business has the best clients and support of any that I know. You stuck by us when we couldn’t open our doors, and you’re still here today. Google chose to describe our business as “enduring,” and I can think of no higher praise. Thank you for making us an enduring part of this city and of your lives. We are honored, and we look forward to tomorrow, excited to do it all again.
