Meet the Jewelers: Sacramento Indie Jewelry Designers
Unique creations from our talented, in-house jewelers
Our large, in-house jewelry repair and creation facility is one of the many things that makes us unique. But, all of the state-of-the-art equipment in the world is worthless without skilled jewelers to use it.
Allow me to introduce you to some of the extremely talented creators who we have the privilege of working with every day. Each one of these jewelers has crafted their own, original line of jewelry in addition to the excellent repair and fabrication work that they do on a daily basis. Each collection is totally unique and represents the artistic eye and vision of the jeweler.
Stop by our shop anytime to see these one-of-a-kind collections or shop on Etsy. Or, if you would like one of our team to make something custom just for you, we would love to help. Reach out to us anytime.
Alex: Wind Fox Silver Arts
Bio: Alex grew up in Minden, NV. Growing up with a master jeweler and a variety of artists and technical craftsmen in the family has honed her talents and skills. Her background includes a career in portrait and sports photography. In her free time, she enjoys creating digital and traditional illustrations.
Artist’s Statement: My current collection is called “Birdwatch” and focuses on various whimsical and detailed birds perched on raw crystals, stones, and wood, showcasing polished and intricate metalwork carefully balanced with rougher foundations, just as we see with real birds, who are masters of balance and adaption. I prefer to make use recycled scrap metals which I pour into ingots and roll into usable sheets. I also make use of sand casting techniques for a more raw feel and delight in working with rough materials in my work to reflect nature’s own mastery of renewal and resourcefulness!
Jhon: Bould’er Chic
Bio: My name is Jhon, and I am 58 years old. My father was a jeweler. He taught me how to cut and polish stones before I was ten. In the past, I worked extensively in repair and restoration in jewelry and precious stones in St. Louis, Missouri. Currently, I bring my knowledge and expertise to the Sacramento area, along with my own style and designs.
Artist’s Statement: Beauty if everywhere, you just have to look for it. I can help you find it. My collections are a celebration of the beauty found in nature both the commonplace and the extremely rare. Wrought in sterling silver, these pieces are designed to show how incredible a simple rock can be or a shell washed up on the seashore. Sometimes the most amazing works of art are right outside our doors, waiting to be discovered.
Lacey: Laced Gems
Bio: My name is Lacey Buell. In 2018, I discovered the art of wire wrapping and instantly fell in love with jewelry and jewelry making. After 23 years at the United States Postal Service, I decided to retire and pursue my passion. I was fortunate to find a position as a bench jeweler at Arden Jewelers.
Artist’s Statement: This collection enhances the beauty of nature by incorporating natural gemstones and the weaving of precious metals. I believe in fostering love and encouraging the free spirit of self-expression, with each piece uniquely crafted to celebrate individuality.
Three incredible collections from three gifted, Sacramento artists. Featuring local, independent jewelry designers has been a long-term vision of ours, and we’re so happy we could bring these pieces to you now. Visit us today to learn more.
Do you have wire wrapping courses? I pay well!
Thanks,
Rachel lewis
Hi Rachel, thanks for reaching out. We don’t currently offer any courses, but you might checkout the Metal Arts Academy in Auburn, CA. They offer a variety of courses, and we have heard good things about them.
